It's clear that Apple is on top of their game. The juggernaut sold more than 1 million iPhone 3G handsets in just 3 days!

However, with all this demand comes a problem.... stocking the phone. Stores in Europe and the US actually ran out of phones and were unable to give them to many people.

But wait, there's more. Some people have complained that the iPhone battery life does not run as long as expected. Whilst this may be the case, many still claim that it outperforms comparable handsets like the LG Voyager or the HTC Tilt.

Yes, Apple is on fire right now and they're showing no signs of slowing down. Sales for Apple were US$24.01 billion last year! To add to this, they're expected to meet their target of launching the new 3G handset in 70 countries in the next year!

I'm currently looking at buying a handheld device but I'm confused about which direction to go! I want to use it for 2 different reasons:

1) To store thousands of songs on it as a backup device
2) To type up emails and documents

Do you guys think that the iPod Touch would satisfy my needs? Any suggestions if there's anything better out there? Thanks 

iPods are taking over the world. Look at the iphone - they do just about everything now!

Does anyone own one of the revamped iPod Classics? They look pretty cool, I wish I had one!
