1  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Will you update your phon when it is available? on: November 14, 2007, 03:46:06 am
How many people here plan to update their iphone when the update is released. If you do not plan to update it can you please state why you would not think it is necessary? or even why you think you need to update the software this soon after original release.
2  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: What will you use your $100 credit on? on: November 11, 2007, 01:37:56 am
I am not sure what I would use it on. I do not think that it would be any accessories though. But will get something very worth while I am sure.
3  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: Apple Sticking To Guns Amid iPhone 'Bricking' Fiasco on: November 11, 2007, 01:35:34 am
Apply is doing nothing different then I would expect them to do, they are protecting themselves, the iPhone brand and the AT&T. I do not understand why everyone is up in arms about them doing this when Microsoft did the same thing a few years back and no one made that big of a deal about it. I think that you have to protect your own products and if people do not want to play by the rules then the warranty should be voided.

Now I am not sure that making the phone inoperable was ok, I would like to know more information about that.

4  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: How much is your bill? on: November 11, 2007, 01:30:35 am
I do not know about his either. I was also concerned about it and that is one reason why I am waiting to get my phone. I do not think that all the charges are user stupidity, I think that there might be some things that have never been disclosed about the service and what they are offering those users. I think people were caught up in the excitement of the phone and did not pay attention to how much they would actually pay for phone usage, but I do not think it is all the consumer.
5  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: Have you received spam on your iPhone? on: November 11, 2007, 01:28:31 am
In this day and age with technology you are always going to get spammed in one way or another. So I would just get used to it. Once they figure out a way to block spam with PC then they might be able to do so with other things as well. But I would not count on it any time soon. The companies that offer the phones,  and service might actually get a point where you get advertisements on your phone.
6  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: What features would you like to see on the iPhone? on: November 11, 2007, 01:26:47 am

Just going off the specs I’ve seen (I’m not special enough to own an iPhone yet ) there’s a few things I would add to the iPhone.

MMS
Copy and paste
sound recording/video recording
ability to modify PDFs and Word docs, not just open them
HEAPS better security.

Have any of these features been added yet and I'm just behind the times?

What features would you add to make iPhone the ULTIMATE?

Well if that is what you want, then you should look at a some of the other phones out there that offer those. I think if you add too much you are essentially building micro computers and then you are requiring hire pricing and so one.
7  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: Which network do you want to see iPhone work with? on: November 11, 2007, 01:25:04 am
Unlocking the phone will allow you to be able to use the phone with multiple networks so that the phone can be used in more places around the globe. I think it was crazy to just go with one network on a deal. That should not have been the case, but they win and so does AT&T in this case because users had to change to that service to use the iPhone. I am sure that apply is getting huge residuals on the money payments.
8  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: 10 Reasons To Buy An iPhone on: November 11, 2007, 01:22:15 am
There are many reasons why a person would want to buy an iPhone, and those listed are several reasons. But make sure that you buy it for you and not just because other people have them. They have to be useful to you and using them will be something you want to do. If you are a casual phone user, and avid music listener then it would be great for you. But if you only use phone rarely and do not care about portable music then spending the money might not be worth it.
9  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: Apple's Dirty Little Secret on: November 11, 2007, 01:18:03 am
Not that I agree with Apple. But to be honest if you have a warranty and you want to exercise the use of that warranty you have to make sure that you read the warranty first. You would be surprised at what is being put in warranties these days and how the you will be screwed if you are paying for extended warranty. They are only doing what they are told to do and that is all. If you do not have a phone complete as with how it was when bought they do not have to honor that warranty.

READ YOUR WARRANTY NOW!
10  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: Accessories that don't work with iPhone. on: November 11, 2007, 01:14:44 am
Were they designed to be used the way you are trying to use them or are they just worthless equipment that no one should buy. I do not fully understand what you are trying to say here.
11  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: MMS on: November 11, 2007, 01:13:42 am
That is great that you found a way to do it and to let us all know about it as well. Is it really as simple as you state it is. I cannot believe that I never thought about trying it this way.
12  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: Extract music on: November 11, 2007, 01:12:43 am
That is very good that you have found some resources for securing music for the iPhone. There is never enough music available in my phone. I simply enjoy having an all in one phone.
13  iPhone Forum / iPhone Chat / Re: Web applications for iPhone. on: November 11, 2007, 01:11:31 am
Thank you for the link, what types of web applications are available that did not already come on the phone. Can you please list them for us. I would appreciate it.
14  News Section / iPod News / Re: Starbucks and Apple - ‘Song of the day’? on: November 11, 2007, 01:10:28 am
I think that it is a wise business choice for them to do this and offer those songs available. Cross promotion is a way to get people into your stores that might not have already been customers. As you will notice there are a lot of business meetings conducted at Starbucks, there this is no surprise.
15  News Section / iPod News / Re: Upgrades are Inbound on: November 11, 2007, 01:08:46 am
It never surprises me. As people continually have a need for bigger and better, it allows many electronics manufacturers to make more and more money off the items they have. Take for example the iPhone, getting everything you want in one portable device made a lot of people very happy. Now they will focus on new models and adding more accessories.
