H. D. Moore has cracked the iPhone’s security controls and can now run all iPhone applications with full root privileges. Imagine what could happen if this fell into the proverbial ‘wrong hands’…

I’m not a big tech head, but why on earth would all these applications run from just one root password?  Huh

Actually, I think this was a just a matter of time. I was waiting with dread for someone to bring out the super bug that will disable all Macs, but I suppose the iPhone is more high profile and more easily accessed.

Probably why I might hold off on buying one until security improves a bit. I mean, I don't trust Wi-Fi at the best of times, let alone Wi-Fi on a cell phone...

WIFI is good, but having it on a mobile phone was a disaster waiting to happen. I doubt the iPhone actually supports enough security to keep it safe from those who want to take it out, so yeah it was only a matter of time Wink

Yes I had read such articles and its browser Safari caan also be traced so beware of doing some bank transactions on your i-Phone.
