Hi Guy's,

Does anyone out there know if the user is allowed (legally) to unlock the iPhone?

Can someone pull up the T&C's of the phone at purchase (I threw mine out  Sad) to see if they thought of this eventuality.

DJ

if you were following the news Dazzler, you would know that it is perfectly legal for the user to unlock the iPhone at this stage in time...

If it wasn't i don't think that the 17 year old engineer genius would have wanted to unlock the iphone due to him possibly getting into a crap load of trouble with Apple and Att.

but, based upon whats going on with the unlocking of the phone and all i would suspect that Att would want to push to get it legalized and have some kind of penalties to breaching the phone and using a different carrier with it other then there service. But i don't see why Apple would cooperate with Att if they went down the legal path. Mostly because Apple would really lose out in the sales field of things.

Thanks for the information. As i too thought thats its not legal to unlock the phone. I roam in many countries so it has become a headache to buy a handset in every country.
