So iTouch runs the same apps as iPhone. Is iTouch just an iPhone without phone capability, or is that a massive generalisation?

I think it is pretty much an iPhone without the phone. It has everything else. I think it is not worth it really getting the iTouch over the iPhone. They both cost around the same price but, you mind as well get the iPhone because later on you can just activate the phone portion if you want to.

iTouch = iPhone minus phone

Yup I agree but I always have a feeling that there should be dedicated gadgets for each application like cam , phone and music.
But if iPhone can work good as all of them than its really great
Yes touch is just iPhone minus phone.

I say if you only want the multimedia features and not the phone, go with the Touch. Anyone see the Apple iPod Touch commericals? The music on the Touch commericals totally destroy the music on the iPhone commericals. I love that song. I believe it is called Music is my Hot by CSS.
